is an interdisciplinary artist specializing in sculptures and installations made from deconstructed domestic materials. Alexander states:

鈥淗ome is a place that is shaped by our stories and bears witness to our secret lives. I explore ways we are shaped by our homes and the activity within them.鈥�

For Home Sweet, Somewhere, Alexander will recreate the installation, and you did not even know enough to be sorry. This work presents the illusion of a beautiful disaster of a cast paper tree crashing through a wallpapered wall, bringing drywall, furniture, and lighting fixtures down with it – the aftermath of some catastrophic weather event. The piece regards our fleeting sense of safety and loss within these 鈥榰nprecedented times.鈥� When thinking about the sense of security that is associated with a home, we are far too often reminded of how delicate and fragile these structures can be.

Alexander has degrees in sculpture from the Cranbrook Academy, MFA, and Massachusetts College of Art, BFA, and is an Associate Professor and Sculpture Department Coordinator at Montserrat College of Art.

Ruin, both real and imagined, fuels artistic exploration. Through the study of abandoned structures, he explores the convergence of suffering and resilience, encouraging audiences to consider how transience shapes both landscapes and lives amid continuous global instability. Clark鈥檚 collage works incorporate layers of tactile and distressed papers as their foundation and incorporate charcoal, pastel, and graphite to add depth and definition.

Clark attended the Rhode Island School of Design where he earned his BFA in Graphic Design, focusing primarily on print design and alternative typography. He currently resides in Pittsburgh, PA and exhibits through galleries, museums and art fairs around the country.

interiors tell a story about the lives of the people who live in them; the human presence is evident, but the people are absent. In Home Sweet, Somewhere, Frances expands his Superposition body of work, which is set in the home of a fictional couple. The artist begins by creating a scaled model of an imagined home. He then takes photographs of the hand built miniature, which then become the inspiration for his woodblock prints. While the artist says the series, 鈥渋s first and foremost about a relationship,鈥� the process blurs our understanding of reality, perception, and what is really there.

Frances lives and works in New York City. He earned his MFA in Printmaking at the Rhode Island School of Design and his BA in Art Studio from the University of California, Davis.

creates spaces that feel uncanny and out of place, allowing viewers a chance to stop and investigate their own positions within our various systems, and engage in more empathetic and community focused ways of seeing the world. Using common New England architectural forms as a basis for sculptures, paintings and installations, he encapsulates the constructed nature of history and its biases, using the physical nature of shelter to represent the asymmetrical systems of protection built into our society. For Home Sweet, Somewhere Haines will create a new site-specific structure, inviting guests to step inside an architectural space that feels all a bit surreal. Fragmented furniture and paintings melt into the walls, while above your head, a collection of chairs float upward into the gallery skylights. The surreal and supernatural take over in this all consuming installation.

Haines earned his BFA from Massachusetts College of Art and Design and currently lives and works in Boston, MA.
